In Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do, South Korea, you'll find Deokjin Park, a beautiful lotus pond that can only be seen at this time of year. It's about a 20-minute bus ride from the famous Hanok Village. Going through Yeonji Gate and toward the pond, you'll come across a stunning green carpet of lotus leaves. There were only a few flowers in bloom when I visited, but they looked ephemeral yet beautiful. The green lotus leaves under the expansive blue sky are a refreshing sight, so soothing to the eyes.
