As the ferry approached the shore, three cows were lying on the grassy slope beside the pier, ruminating. Their brown and white fur glistened in the sun, and the water droplets on their noses dripped onto the green grass, making a soft "da" sound. This unadorned idyllic scene is more touching than any filter. I rented a yellow convertible and chased the sea breeze along the island ring road. The administrator handed over a handful of alfalfa, and the warm breath mixed with the fragrance of green grass sprayed on the palm of my hand. When the leading bull flicked its horns covered with water droplets, the entire wetland rippled with silver scales, and the startled egrets skimmed across the sky, just embedded in the setting orange-red sun. When leaving, the receding cow backs in the rearview mirror looked like solidified waves. On this small island forgotten by time, even the hands of the clock have grown moss.
