Thingvellir National Park

Thingvellir National Park is Iceland's first national park, about 40km from downtown Reykjavik. This was once the site of the Icelandic parliament, and is one of the oldest parliaments in the world. In the park, there are scenic walkways and viewing platforms built for the safety of tourists. As long as you follow the walkway, you can take in all the beautiful scenery in the park. The Parliament Cliff, the junction of the Eurasian and North American plates, the Law Rock, and the filming location of 'Game of Thrones' are all must-see spots when you come to Thingvellir National Park!
