Located next to the famous West Lake Scenic Area in Huizhou, the Sizhou Tower is an historical structure that stands out amongst the surrounding hills. To get here, you can take a private car, taxi or bus and get off at the north or west entrance to the lake. At the lake, walk through the entrance and proceed towards the southeastern corner of the park to find the Sizhou Tower. The tower itself is on top of a hill, therefore expect to walk up stairs to reach the base. There are several staircases you can climb to reach up to the tower, all are pleasant and shaded under the trees. The tower is great to see close-up, as you will see the many materials used in its construction and the impressive height it reaches. Walking around it, you can take photos or videos. It is a welcome place to visit when you are also visiting the lake area, and I would highly recommend it.
