Huizhou! A budget hotel worth a second visit! It's so nice to stay here!

Renaissance Huizhou Hotel: A relaxing choice in the Pearl River Delta Living in the Pearl River Delta has its unique advantages, with many comfortable small cities within easy reach and relatively convenient transportation, making it possible to arrange a relaxing weekend getaway. In the past, I often went to Huizhou for the beach or the mountains, but this time I visited the city for the first time and stayed at the only Marriott hotel in the city center - Renaissance Huizhou Hotel. Before checking in, I communicated with the hotel and hoped to upgrade to a high-floor room with a great view. After checking in, I was pleasantly surprised to find that I was assigned to a corner room on the top floor. Through the huge floor-to-ceiling windows, the wide river and the West Lake on the other side are in full view, and the scenery is absolutely stunning. Although the corner room has a great view, the hotel has been around for more than ten years, and the air conditioning is not well maintained, making the room a bit hot, so I basically need to close the curtains in the afternoon to resist the heat. I also remind friends who prefer corner rooms to pay attention. The overall maintenance of the room is acceptable, but from some details, such as the curtains with a sense of age, the slightly dim lighting, and the marks on the walls, you can still see the age of the hotel. But the design of the bathroom is undoubtedly a highlight, even compared to many newly opened hotels, it is not inferior. In stark contrast to the age of the room, the hotel's public areas are very well maintained, and the executive lounge and pool are especially worth mentioning, where you can truly feel the owner's boldness and dedication. The pool is equipped with a spacious hot tub in the changing room, where the view is absolutely stunning and not to be missed. The high-ceiling design of the pool creates a strong vacation atmosphere, and the light and shadow effects created by the sunlight shining through the glass windows on the water are particularly charming. However, there was a small episode during the swimming pool disinfection, and I had to leave urgently because of the smell of disinfectant. I hope the hotel can arrange disinfection during non-business hours in the future. The afternoon tea and happy hour at the executive lounge are relatively stable and worth a try. Especially at sunset, enjoying the intoxicating sunset and the sparkling waves on the river in the lounge can bring spiritual comfort and solace to busy workers. Overall, Renaissance Huizhou Hotel can be rated four stars. It has its unique charm and advantages, and there are some small flaws, but it is still a good accommodation choice for a trip around the Pearl River Delta.
