One day, I had to rush to pick up my brother's shirt and go dress-trying with my future grandmother on the same day, so I had to opt for fast food. Since I hadn't had plain rice in a while, I suddenly felt like eating something. So, I decided to try the Hawaiian Sashimi Donburi restaurant in Daqing, Chongqing. You can choose your own toppings for the rice bowl or get a pre-made one. Since I have a bit of a problem choosing between different options, I opted for the pre-made rice. The California Style dish had sashimi salmon, cucumber, egg, salmon roe, and nut sesame sauce. The salmon roe was generous and a great value. All the ingredients were fresh and protein-rich. Mr. Yaxi had sashimi tuna, edamame, shiitake mushrooms, green onions, and wasabi cheese sauce. I loved the wasabi sauce; it was so pungent and exciting. You could choose sushi rice, pearl brown rice, or a combination. It was a huge portion, probably two or three bowls. My daughter probably couldn't finish the whole plate, and I only ate half. I kind of regret not choosing the salad base. The fried food was excellent. Fried to order, the batter was perfectly thin and crispy. The Thousand Island dressing served with the fried chicken was even more flavorful with the addition of chopped chili peppers. The sweet potato fries were already a bit sweet, but the honey added a touch of sweetness. I loved the restaurant's Hawaiian-style decor; it adds a vibrant vibe. The avocado figurines are so adorable, kids will love them.
