Hiking Travel Notes: My First Experience of Checking in at the Miscanthus Grass in Dadong Mountain

It's the season for taking pictures with mangroves, and with the growing feeling of autumn, hiking is the best thing to do! I have always been a BB level hiker, I haven't hiked much in the last six months, and even followed my friends up the mid-to-high-end route, the third highest peak in Hong Kong, Mount Tai Tung and Lan Tau Camp at 869 meters above sea level. From the starting point of Bo Kok Au, I was exhausted after walking for 5 minutes (because the stone steps were higher, it was more difficult to climb up). Finally, with my faith, I persisted in going up one step at a time. There are many mangroves along the way up Tai Tung Shan. Mangrove + scenery is beautiful, so how can you miss the opportunity to take beautiful photos! However, it is slightly less lush, and I believe it should be even more beautiful in November! Check-in + rest finally took about two and a half hours to finally get up to Mount Tai Tung, soon passed through the broken head camp (it turns out this is a high-end route), and finally we chose to go down the mountain from South Mountain. The whole process took more than 5 hours (including check-in + rest + hiking), began to feel that the legs were no longer mine, but the challenge successfully got a great sense of satisfaction, super happy! If you are interested in climbing Mount Tai Tung, it is recommended that novices really do not try it, as some places are not just as simple as walking, but also climbing, which requires considerable physical strength. There will be a cool breeze occasionally when you go up the mountain, plus you feel even colder after sweating, so bring a jacket to keep warm! It's best to eat well, bring enough water and dry food, and go to the washroom before going up the mountain, because there is no washroom and no resupply once you go up the mountain. Also be sure to wear hiking shoes! My shoes are grippy but not hiking shoes, some places have gravel that easily slip, and many stone steps are not cheap, it is easy to sprain your feet.
