The new cable car was built in Switzerland by Garaventa, CWA, Frey and other companies, which are among the world's top professional cable railway manufacturers. The biggest features of the sixth-generation Peak Tram include a significant increase in passenger capacity to 210 people, 22 forward-facing seats for going downhill, and the use of an "optimized wave floor" to improve safety and passenger comfort. The wider windows and transparent skylights increase the sense of space for the cable car. At the same time, a passenger information display screen is added to show "next stop" and other interesting information; as well as four wheelchair spaces and four stroller spaces equipped with seat belts.
