Refresh your mind and eyes with ancient Chinese art and crafts

I remember seeing one news article about the opening of Hong Kong Palace Museum and immediately got hooked with the idea of visiting the museum soon. As my mom came to visit me in Hong Kong, the first place I think of bringing her to visit is the palace museum. You will need to book ticket online in advance. Normal ticket costs 50 HKD, which allows you to see 7 thematic gallery, while the other ticket costs 120 HKD and add special exhibition for your visit. I chose the normal one and did spent almost whole day there already. How to go: from Kowloon Station, follow the sign, and you will reach a minibus stop (74/74S) that will take you to the front of the museum for 4 dollar. There are a lot to see inside the museum, but my favorite is the part about the forbidden city where they explain detailed layout of forbidden city in Beijing, the life of the emperor and empress dowager, and beautiful ancient objects created far in the past. I learnt a lot of things, for example about the fact that Qianlong Emperor also did a lot of preservation and study of the previous dynasties relics.
