Tai Kwun’s “Breathing the Forest” exhibition to learn about Hong Kong’s trees

How can the incense trees in Hong Kong be illegally cut down excessively? Hong Kong people think that the surrounding trees are natural, so they take it lightly. When you stand under the shade of a tree to cool off, the big trees shield you from sunlight and rain. Have you ever thought about protecting the big trees that help shade you? These are not left to the experts to do👆🏻 In fact, every Hong Kong person has a responsibility👆🏻 Conservation requires protecting plants. What can Hong Kong and Hong Kong people do? At least we have to start with understanding. I recommend you to see an exhibition. Don't just hang out on the dinosaur exhibition. The dinosaurs have been dead for tens of thousands of years, but the trees in Hong Kong still exist. Please cherish what you see! Breath of the Forest explores the interdependence of trees and humans, revealing our responsibility for the destruction of the environment, while showing the results of our efforts, including individual and collective efforts to save, protect trees, conserve and pass on these material cultural heritage. 💪🏻 For example, in 2015, six 80-year-old small-leaved banyan tree stonewall trees in Bonham Road broke two of them due to a typhoon, and were finally cut down by the relevant government departments. Six old banyan trees that were decades old were destroyed in one go.
