You don't have to go to Japan, Korea, or Canada; you can enjoy a magnificent, romantic, and beautiful sea of red and yellow maple leaves right here in Hong Kong! The Sweet Gum Woods in Tai Tong, Yuen Long, Hong Kong, can be said to be a must-visit attraction for us every autumn. This long road is lined with dense sweet gum trees on both sides. In late autumn, the entire road turns red and yellow, as if you've stepped into a beautiful fairy tale! Since the sweet gum trees grow on both sides of the road and are relatively short, it's perfect for taking photos, and even a casual selfie can capture a stunning shot full of red leaves! Hong Kong's red leaves usually turn color in late November. However, due to abnormal weather in recent years, sometimes the peak season for red leaves isn't until late December or early January. Make sure to plan your trip in advance! 🌟 The photos were not taken this year. Tai Tong Red Leaves Route 1: Exit B2 of MTR Long Ping Station, walk along the footbridge for 2 minutes, then transfer to K66A and alight at Tai Tong Shan Road Bus Terminus. Slowly walk uphill for about 45 minutes to 1 hour to reach the Sweet Gum Woods. Route 2: Take a taxi from Kolour Plaza. It costs about HKD 60 to the gate on Tai Tong Shan Road where vehicle entry is restricted. From there, you can directly reach the Sweet Gum Woods. Since Tai Tong Sweet Gum Woods is located within Tai Lam Country Park, resting facilities and toilets are more abundant than at typical hiking spots.
