Jordan, Hong Kong: Traditional Dim Sum Experience

My parents once passed by a restaurant called Sun Sun Restaurant and mentioned that they used to visit this place when they were young. It was a very popular restaurant back in the day, frequented by many celebrities. So, when we were in Jordan, we decided to go there for dim sum! By 12 PM, the place was already packed with people waiting for a table. If you're willing to share a table, you'll get seated faster. We were a group of three and chose not to share, so we waited for about half an hour before getting a table. *Saturday Lunch Dim Sum $11/person* Most dim sum dishes are priced around $2x, freshly made and steamed. 《 Steamed Fish Head with Chopped Chili $26 》 A large fish head with plenty of meat, tender and smooth around the gills! 《 Crispy Fish Cake with Sweet Corn $23.8 》 Thin yet springy texture, combined with sweet corn kernels—delicious! 《 Steamed Stuffed Eggplant with Black Bean Sauce (Large) $33.8 》 The fish paste is bouncy, and the eggplant is soft and flavorful. 《 Char Siu Bun with Oyster Sauce (Small) $25.8 》 The buns are hot and fluffy, filled generously with char siu meat—not just sauce—very tasty! 《 Pan-Fried Turnip Cake (Small) $25.8 》 Rich in turnip flavor, fragrant and delicious. It would be even better with more diced preserved meat. 《 Bamboo Rolls in Cordyceps Flower Broth (Medium) $29.8 》 Not greasy, with a light and aromatic soup. 《 Rice with Silverfish and Pork Patty (Large) $45 》 A sizable portion, the rice isn't too dry, and the silverfish with pork patty is flavorful and has a nice texture. Add some soy sauce to mix with the rice—perfect! 《 Fresh Milk Egg Tarts (Medium) $29.8 》 It's been a long time since I had egg tarts. There are four in a serving. The dim sum portions are quite generous, so the three of us were very full. The staff were polite, and the dim sum servers were attentive. We'll definitely come back for tea next time!
