The Hong Kong Museum of History, which has been closed for four years, has finally reopened!

The "Hong Kong Polyhedron Exhibition Series" explores topics such as local community development, foreign ethnic groups, and connections with overseas Chinese through thematic content, aiming to provide a more comprehensive introduction to Hong Kong's unique urban development context and the factors behind its success. This exhibition series is the first phase of the Hong Kong Museum of History's updated permanent exhibitions. The three new exhibitions include "Yau Tsim Mong, Looking at Yau Tsim - Urban Flow and Community Sentiments," "Tracing the Portuguese Footprints in Hong Kong - Stories of Hong Kong's Portuguese," and "Drifting to Gold Mountain - The Lives of Hong Kong and California Chinese Immigrants." The densely populated Yau Tsim Mong district is the most bustling area in Kowloon. Visitors to the "Yau Tsim Mong, Looking at Yau Tsim - Urban Flow and Community Sentiments" exhibition on the second floor of the Hong Kong Museum of History can learn about the development of the Yau Tsim Mong district from the 19th century to the present through approximately 200 exhibits. Located in the attic of the Hong Kong Museum of History, the "Tracing the Portuguese Footprints in Hong Kong - Stories of Hong Kong's Portuguese" exhibition features over 250 items collected from Portuguese families and institutions, reviewing the development and contributions of the Portuguese community in various fields in Hong Kong.
