Singapore's popular Hainanese chicken rice has finally arrived in Hong Kong

Singapore's popular Hainanese chicken rice has finally arrived in Hong Kong. The restaurant has a 40-year history in Singapore. The most famous dish is, of course, the poached chicken. The two of us ordered the 2-person set ($328)~ which includes half a poached chicken, a serving of sweet and sour pork, stir-fried water spinach with sambal, 2 bowls of chicken oil rice, and we added $38 for a bowl of double-boiled soup and $15 for a special drink. Additionally, we ordered a portion of prawn toast 😋 The soup of the day was double-boiled pork ribs with tea tree mushrooms, rich and flavorful. Poached chicken (deboned Hainanese chicken) ~ the chicken skin is crispy, the meat tender and smooth with a slight jelly-like chicken oil. Full of chicken oil aroma, paired with a mouthful of chicken oil rice. A perfect combination 😋 The sweet and sour pork was fried very crispy, and the tangy sauce made it even more appetizing. Singapore-style sambal stir-fried water spinach, I initially thought it would be very strong in flavor, but it wasn’t too salty and quite tasty. Besides the Hainanese chicken, my favorite is the prawn toast. Super, super delicious 🤣😋💯 Crispy on the outside and soft inside, every bite is packed with fragrant and bouncy shrimp meat.
