Hong Kong International Airport Cathay Pacific Business Lounge The Pier Jade Hall Guide

Located near Gate 65 at Hong Kong Airport, The Pier Jade Hall is known as the pinnacle of business lounges. Compared to the other two Cathay Pacific business lounges, this Jade Hall is the largest and is divided into four main areas. First is the Western Cuisine section, Taste Pavilion, featuring a salad bar, Western dishes like pasta, bread, and more. Then, walking forward, you reach the bar - Leisure Bar, where besides various red and white wines, you can order Cathay’s special cocktail Cathay Delight, a kiwi drink with mint leaves. Illy coffee is also available. Further ahead is the Flavor Pavilion, offering a variety of Chinese rice and noodle dishes. Options include char siu rice, roast pork rice, wonton noodles, and dan dan noodles. There are also several Chinese dim sum items like smashed cucumber and siu mai. If you can’t finish so many main dishes, you can order noodles and ask the staff to add a few pieces of char siu or roast pork. I have to say, the roast pork skin is very crispy, much better than the cold and dry roast pork I usually get at barbecue shops. Finally, there is the most famous Tea Pavilion here. The space is very quiet, decorated with a Chinese Zen style, perfect for slowly savoring tea alone. There is also a self-service fresh juice bar. Snacks include Portuguese egg tarts, butterfly pastries, walnut pastries, wife cakes, and more. I ordered a pot of jasmine pearls and stayed for over an hour. This area is truly unique to Jade Hall.
