Post-cruise blues from the Gulangyu voyage!!

This cruise trip was absolutely perfect for moms like me who have kids and are too lazy to plan itineraries! For just HK$4-5K per person, we enjoyed five days and four nights of slow living at sea. 📍Itinerary Overview Boarding at Hong Kong's Kai Tak Cruise Terminal, the ship passed near Taiwan and finally arrived at Ishigaki Island in Okinawa, Japan. Every day started with a natural wake-up, and the buffet was incredibly rich, offering a variety of crowd-pleasing and delicious options. You could basically eat from breakfast to late-night snacks (haha)! Fruits and desserts were abundant too—I gained 2 pounds... 🥲 🎬【Cruise Cinema】: Free! Although most of the movies were classic old films, it was a nice way to pass the time while enjoying the air conditioning. 👶【Kids' Playground】: The space wasn’t huge but was thoughtfully designed with educational play equipment. There weren’t many kids on the day we visited, and my child had a great time. It’s quite suitable for kids under 6 to burn off some energy. 🎤【Starry Music Lounge】: In the evenings, there was a live singer taking song requests. The atmosphere was fantastic, and you could request your favorite songs—truly an amazing vibe! ☕【Coffee Lounge】: Coffee was priced at around RMB 40, which was reasonable. In the afternoons, there were live performances by singers or pianists. If you enjoy quietly daydreaming, this spot is highly recommended for a relaxing afternoon. 🌊【Scenery Highlights】: During the voyage, we passed through deep-sea areas where the water was so blue it looked unreal. The rear deck was perfect for photos 📸 (see photo 2). Upon arriving at Ishigaki Island, the port greeted us with a dreamy glass-like sea ✨—the ocean views were truly breathtaking! ⚠️Important Notes|Must-Read! The only regret of this trip was—there were only 6 hours of shore time at Ishigaki Island. We didn’t plan ahead or book a shuttle... We spent too much time waiting for a taxi 🚕 after disembarking, and ended up missing "Kabira Bay"! 📌Tips for future travelers: Make sure to book a private car or rental service in advance. Once you disembark, head straight to the city center 🛍️. Start by exploring the "Public Market," then visit Kabira Bay to take a glass-bottom boat and see the underwater world. It’s definitely more efficient and worthwhile than waiting for transportation at the port! #CruiseTravel #FamilyTravelTopChoice #BeginnerTips #LifeAtSea
