Second Visit to Spicy Years

Spicy Years This is my second visit to this Sichuan restaurant called "Spicy Years." I remember last year when I left this restaurant, I almost tipped my wheelchair forward. Even with that shadow of fear, I had to come back because the spiciness is just too addictive! The entrance of this Sichuan restaurant has one step, slightly higher than usual. Wheelchair users need to bring their own ramp and must push with full strength—push, push, push—to get inside. This time, I remembered to reverse out when leaving, so no more scary moments! 1. Cumin Beef Fried Rice $69 (10/10) This cumin beef fried rice is quite a large portion. The beef is cooked just right—I thought it would be tough, but it’s very tender. There are about 15 pieces of beef. The fried rice is actually Yangzhou fried rice, but unfortunately, no peas, which is a relief because I dislike peas. The Yangzhou fried rice is very flavorful with a nice wok hei aroma, and the rice grains are separate. It even comes with some salad greens. Absolutely perfect, full marks! 2. Stir-fried Fatty Beef with Scallions with Rice $68 (10/10) I ordered this dish spicy-hot, and the spiciness is very satisfying. The portion of fatty beef is quite generous, about 10 slices. There’s also a small burner keeping the scallion beef warm. This dish comes with rice, making it excellent! 3. Supreme Fruit Tea (800ml) $24 (10/10) Last time I ordered the 3L size, which is really only suitable for a large group. The fruit tea contains watermelon, grapes, orange, lime, and apple. If you order it with a set meal, the fruit tea is half price. This 800ml cup can be divided into about four small cups, enough for two people. The original price is $48 for 800ml, and the 3L size costs $138.
