Immersive Racing Experience at the Jockey Club’s Non-Member Hidden Restaurant

Last week, I finally got to try the newly opened Vantage at Happy Valley Racecourse! The best part is you don’t need to be a member to get in. We specifically booked an outdoor seat, so close to the turf racing that we almost high-fived the horses🤣. As soon as we sat down, the vibe was totally different from other restaurants—dark lighting mixed with indoor 4K LED walls broadcasting the races live. There’s even an interactive AI horse selection station analyzing horse data. The Racing Specialist enthusiastically encouraged us to try the “AI horse analysis,” which includes form, jockey rankings, gate advantages, and best performances on the same course and distance, etc. . Now, about the food—this place is fusion to the max! For starters, we ordered the assorted cheese and cold cuts platter (small), perfect for two to share. The blue cheese was incredibly rich, balanced perfectly with the salty Parma ham. The best part was watching the horses cross the finish line while eating, with the cheers louder than our conversation🤣. . The tuna belly sashimi (small) deserves a big 👏🏻. The otoro was bursting with rich fat, evenly marbled with no sinew. The intense fish oil flavor paired with wasabi made us want an encore! . For cocktails, we tried the signature Golden Diamond Noble🍸 with dried pineapple slices on top. The sweet and sour combo was super refreshing. We also had the Beautiful Legacy🍹, where the staff blew a huge bubble right in front of you—perfect timing to get your camera ready 📸. Floating inside the giant bubble, it’s totally Instagram-worthy✨. . For the grand finale dessert, the chilled dessert platter 🍨 came with dry ice smoke creating a magical scene. There was Japanese melon🍈, strawberry panna cotta foam, and huge blueberries🫐, plus a moist chocolate fondant and molten lava cake with intense chocolate flavor, all presented like a work of art. After eating, I immediately wanted to tag my girlfriends and come back to chill again~ . Between races, there’s a DJ spinning to keep the atmosphere lively. Overall, Vantage is not just a restaurant—it’s an immersive experience.
