"Lingnan Garden" is part of Lai Chi Kok Park, located in the reclaimed area of Mei Foo. The architectural style of the garden adopts the Lingnan aesthetic, with structures radiating outward from a central pond, arranged in a courtyard and corridor layout. The couplets displayed in the garden mainly feature works by Cantonese writers from the Ming, Qing, and Republican eras to the present day. "Arrival of the Phoenix": Entering through the East Gate, you will encounter one of the ten scenic spots, "Arrival of the Phoenix." The plaza features two phoenixes on the ground, symbolizing the arrival of distinguished guests and serving as an auspicious omen. In the square pond, a stone turtle with a stone snake on its back represents the mythical creature Xuanwu, a spiritual being composed of a turtle and a snake in Chinese mythology. "Moonrise and Fragrance": At the center of the garden lies the largest pavilion, which is often used as a filming location by TV stations. On moonlit nights, visitors can enjoy the enchanting view of the moon reflecting on the water, making it the best time to appreciate the garden's beauty. Arched gates and corridors can be seen throughout the area. How to get there: Take the MTR Tsuen Wan Line and exit at Mei Foo Station (Exit D). Turn left, walk through the pedestrian passage under the footbridge, and enter the Lai Chi Kok Park area. No admission fee required.
