The old reservoir that reminds you of Greek ruins. 📍Destination: Former Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir / Ex-Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir 📍Nearest Station: MTR Shek Kip Mei Station, Exit A 📍How to get there: Exit from Exit A, proceed from Wo Zai Street to Shek Kip Mei Street, turn left onto the sloping Pak Yuk Street and go forward. Enter the mountain path beside the white building (the building in the second photo) on the left. Follow the sign for "Former Sham Shui Po Service Reservoir" and climb the mountain. About 15 to 20 minutes after entering the mountain path. Free admission. 📍Opening Hours: 9:00-12:00, 14:00-17:00 💡Wear comfortable clothes and shoes as you will be climbing stairs and slopes. 💡Hong Kong is humid and hot, so it might be good to bring water and a towel. 💞Highlight ①: The old reservoir with beautiful brick arches was built in 1904 and is now designated as a Grade 1 historic building. Enjoy a moment isolated from the city's hustle and bustle. 💞Highlight ②: Shek Kip Mei is a local area with many public housing estates. After the visit, enjoy dim sum 🥢 at a local restaurant or take a break with tea ☕ at a cha chaan teng (Hong Kong-style café).
