In Little Paris of Central Hong Kong, a chill-filled Tai Kwun cafe

The historic building atmosphere makes walking around very relaxing. I found a restaurant highly recommended online to have brunch. The restaurant is divided into indoor and outdoor sections. The indoor area has high ceilings and vintage decor, creating a great ambiance, while the outdoor area feels leisurely, each with its own charm. Worried about the sun, I ended up choosing the indoor seating. 🥯 Scrambled Egg Bagel with Smoked Salmon This smoked salmon bagel is simple but outstanding. The bagel’s exterior is baked to a slight crisp, while the inside is soft and chewy. Combined with smooth scrambled eggs and smoked salmon, the flavors are well balanced. The smoked salmon is fresh and not too salty, the scrambled eggs are creamy and rich, with a thick layer that’s juicy with every bite. 🥓 Full English Breakfast The bacon is crispy and flavorful, the pork sausage is firm and juicy, paired with a runny poached egg, fresh mushrooms, juicy cherry tomatoes, thin and crispy hash browns, and baked beans in tomato sauce. The ingredients are diverse, and while the plating isn’t fancy, the quality of the ingredients and the view outside the window make it very satisfying. 🍹 Negroni The taste is on the bitter side with a hint of citrus aroma. The alcohol content is quite high, giving a refreshing feeling when drinking. If you like strong-flavored drinks, this one should suit you well. 🥂 Viognier Domaine This white wine has a slight fruity aroma, is refreshing on the palate, not too acidic, and pairs well with light meals. It has subtle floral and melon notes, making it easy to drink. It’s a simple and comfortable white wine, and personally, I think this one is more suitable for lunchtime than the Negroni. Overall, the price is on the higher side, but the environment adds extra points. The food quality is quite surprising for a tourist area, so it’s worth the price. #HongKongTravel #CentralFood
