Hiking in Hong Kong: Hung Fa Leng Country Trail and Mine

Hung Fa Leng Country Park is located in Sha Tau Kok, in the northeastern New Territories. It is connected to the mountains of Shenzhen Wutong Mountain Scenic Area in the north and adjacent to Pat Sin Leng Country Park in the south. Along the Hung Fa Leng Country Trail, there are still many military relics, such as bunkers, trenches, and mines built by the Japanese army during World War II. ⚠Hong Kong's new 25th country park. 🅿Transportation ▪To get there: From Exit D of "Sheung Shui" MTR station, you will find the bus terminal. Transfer to KMB 78K/78S or minibus 55K to "Tam Shui Hang" Station (🚍40min). After getting off, walk along "Shan Tsui Village Road" to the starting point of "Hung Fa Leng Country Trail" (🚶20min). ▪To return: The drop-off point is at "Lin Ma Village", where there is a bus stop "Lin Ma Hang Minibus Terminus". You can take minibus 59k to "Sheung Shui Station Minibus Terminus" (40min) and transfer to the East Rail Line. ⚠Lin Ma Village passes through a border restricted area. You can pass directly by taking a minibus! ⚠Some minibuses do not accept mobile payments, so be prepared with an Octopus card!
