【🧡Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour: Oriental Afternoon Tea with Mandarin Oranges to Welcome the New Year🧡】

Chinese New Year is less than a month away, and hotels are all switching up their Lunar New Year-themed afternoon teas. This time, I went to the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour in North Point, renowned for its stunning views. Enjoying desserts while gazing at the stunning Victoria Harbour was a truly captivating afternoon tea! ☺ 🔹New Year Mandarin Oranges I was immediately captivated by this lovely mandarin orange. The outer layer is sweet, while the inner layer is filled with a fruity, sweet, and juicy candied orange peel. It's incredibly juicy! 🔹Osmanthus and Mixed Berry Chocolate Cake This adorable, red cake is filled with tart and sweet mixed berry and lychee candied fruit. The cake itself is incredibly fluffy, and the chocolate cookie base makes it even more flavorful, with a subtle hint of osmanthus. Delicious! 🔹William's Pear Tart This dessert is my favorite. The light, not-too-cloying pear jelly has just the right amount of sweetness to give the tart a satisfying bite. The almond cream is quite soft and flavorful, perfect for a perfect bite. 🔹Tofu, Mango, and Cheesecake Cups The tofu has a relatively distinct flavor, and the slightly sour mango puree complements the tofu perfectly, making it a refreshing choice. 🔹Osmanthus Raisin Pancakes | Osmanthus Berry Jam and Fresh Cream Dessert The added bonus is that the pancakes are baked to order. While they take time to make, they're incredibly rich with butter when they arrive. Plus, they're so large, they're incredibly satisfying to eat. In addition to the desserts on display, there's also a chocolate fountain, egg waffles, and a stunning rotating ice cream tray where you can enjoy a variety of unique flavors. All-you-can-eat! Dessert lovers, don't you think? 😍😍 The chef put a lot of effort into creating a Chinese-inspired savory dish, resulting in a vibrant array of colors when combined: 🔹 Shrimp Finger Sandwich 🔹 Smoked Salmon Roll 🔹 Crispy Duck Gua Bao (Bao Bao) 🔹 Spicy Cold Cucumber Tart The shrimp in the shrimp finger sandwich was perfectly chewy, and the salted egg yolk salad dressing was incredibly flavorful. Don't miss it! I opted for coffee. I was pleasantly surprised by the exquisite latte art and the carefully selected coffee beans.
