60 "seagulls" flew from Japan to Hong Kong and temporarily settled in Harbour City! The "Seagull Harbor" public art installation created by the famous Japanese artist Takato Kimura will be exhibited along the Victoria Harbour at the Ocean Terminal Piazza from May 15, 2023. This is the first time that Kimura Takato has exhibited his artwork in Hong Kong, and also the first time that his iconic “Kazamidori Series” is exhibited outside of Japan. This series has been a permanent exhibit at the Setouchi Triennale since 2010 and has been loved by local residents and tourists. 61 1:1 scale seagulls are neatly arranged on the waterfront of Victoria Harbour, swaying their bodies in the breeze, bringing a touch of natural tranquility to the busy downtown. Understanding the wisdom of nature from "Seagull Harbor", Takato Kimura designed a weather vane artwork inspired by the habits of seagulls "Seagull Port" is a new work in Kimura Takato's classic "Kazamidori Series".
