Finding My Childhood at Hong Kong Disneyland As an adult, I went to Hong Kong Disneyland to recapture my fading childlike spirit! As a Disney fanatic, it was truly a dreamlike experience. Boarding the Disney train at Sunny Bay Station, I was greeted by Mickey Mouse-shaped windows, which made me incredibly happy. The train ride lasted about 10 minutes, and I was so busy playing music and exploring the train cars until I arrived that I lost track of time. It was a wonderful time, but I was so disappointed that I could only see my favorite characters from Stitch, Moana, and Frozen as souvenirs. (Frozen was still in preparation in 2019.) However, I love princesses as much as Stitch, so I was incredibly happy at the Princess Park. >< Disney isn't just about princesses; there are also several themed areas, including Winnie the Pooh, Star Wars, and Toy Story. I'd only heard that Disney had acquired Star Wars, but I had absolutely no interest in it (I hadn't even seen it). However, the space-themed rides were so much fun. I rode them three times. Also, at Toy Story Land, the plants and statues are two to three times my size, making me feel like a toy! The lush greenery made me feel like Thumbelina. It was so much fun. The mini version of the Gyro Drop ride was fun and not scary at all. It's a bit pricey at around 100,000 won, but it's a reasonable price considering the incredible photos and experiences you'll get. Also, I went around 10:00 a.m. on a Tuesday morning, and it wasn't too crowded, so I only waited in line for about 30 minutes. It's a bit of a guessing game, but try to go on a weekday! #GourmetTour: Ta Vie, a 2-star Michelin restaurant located on Hong Kong Island, is led by Japanese chef Sato, and combines elements of Japanese, French, and Hong Kong cuisine. The food isn't overly exciting, and each dish is meticulously prepared. While the prices might be a bit steep, it's definitely worth a visit.
