Birthday Staycation with First-Class Hardware

For my birthday this year, I chose to play it safe and stay at the Hyatt Centric Victoria Harbour Hong Kong in North Point. The Hyatt Group always offers a guaranteed stay. This article will focus on the room types. The Hyatt Centric series is positioned similarly to a high-end business hotel, always located in the city/downtown area. It's elegant and lacks the playful flair of the Andaz series. Since the Hyatt Centric in North Point is newly built, all the facilities are pristine, and the decor and atmosphere are rated four to five stars, at least in my opinion. Let me introduce the room I stayed in. This "Harbour View Deluxe" is one of the hotel's most popular room types. With its double bed, it's often sold out. The moment I entered, I was captivated by the unobstructed 180-degree sea view! The location is also exceptional. Due to its proximity to the sea, all rooms offer views of Victoria Harbour, and some even boast 180-degree unobstructed views. Although the room is a bit small (a common problem with new hotels), I think the sea view is worth it. The TV can be adjusted to any angle. There was a European Cup match on the night I checked in, but it's a shame the hotel hasn't installed pay TV channels. Many guests choose my Harbour View Deluxe room, mainly because of the bathtub overlooking Victoria Harbour. The bathroom amenities are large, in-house brand bottles, rather than the usual travel-sized ones, promoting environmental sustainability. I love the marble boxes that hold the toiletries; the packaging is so thoughtful, featuring Hong Kong-themed illustrations. Besides the stunning Victoria Harbour view, the bathtub also has a TV, which is truly a delight. They also thoughtfully included two packets of bath salts. Because it was my birthday (checking in on the actual day), they gave me a different treat: a cake instead of a typical hotel gift. They gave me a goody bag containing a bag of gummy candies, a box of UNO, a birthday card (without a name), and a party hat, albeit a child-sized one. But with a sea view like that, who has time to play UNO in the room? *I can't help but smile* The hotel also gave me a bottle of red wine and a chocolate strawberry. The strawberry was delicious! There was also a handwritten welcome card, a bonus. (I don't think most guests get that?) The room had a Nespresso coffee machine, and of course, all the capsules. I loved the electric kettle, it was so useful. And it's conveniently located, just a 3-minute walk from North Point MTR Station. The surrounding amenities are also excellent. Downstairs is the large shopping mall North Point Place, with mid-range and high-end restaurants, shopping, movies, convenience stores, supermarkets, and even wet markets, so you'll never run out of food or shopping. I especially recommend the nearby Shinsegae Korean Food supermarket. After dinner, you can browse and pretend you're traveling to Korea. I love shopping and wet markets when I travel. Since we learned in advance that the hotel didn't provide a birthday cake, we arranged to bring our own. This is an agnes b. cake Smartone sent me, just cutting it as a token of appreciation. If you're also bringing your own cake, the hotel can store it in the Cake Shop's large refrigerator; the room's refrigerator is too small to fit. 💰Finally, regarding the price, I booked the "Centric Summer Staycation" package with a dining offer, which includes one night's room and a dinner buffet and breakfast buffet at The Farmhouse (for two people) starting at HK$1,530 + 10%.
