#hatyaitrip Most people treat Hat Yai as just a transit stop (myself included at first), but once I arrived, I realized this city is peaceful, lively, and full of local charm. In its clean and quiet little alleys, you’ll find hidden cozy coffee shops. There’s a strong Chinese heritage here — many locals are of Hokkien or Teochew descent. Uncles and aunties run Thai eateries with hints of Chinese flavors, and they’ll warmly greet you with broken Mandarin, asking where you're from and even inviting you to enjoy a glass of iced sweet dessert water. Next time, I’m definitely staying for a few more days to explore deeper! 💛 #travel
