Tracing the Shangu Reservoir: The Greenery and Sparkling Waves of Early Summer

Before the cicada's song becomes overwhelming, the wind in the valley is already filled with moisture. Driving deep along the winding asphalt road, the green mountains on both sides are like an overturned palette, with layers of new green, light emerald, and dark jade blending together. Occasionally, a few late-blooming wild azaleas peek out from the thick shade, their red color breathtaking. At the end of the road, the reservoir suddenly bursts into view. The water surface is shattered by the early summer sunlight, and the sparkling waves are like a lake full of broken silver. Climb the viewing platform next to the reservoir, and you can see the entire Shangu Reservoir. Surrounded by mountains, this green water area is like a pearl. A breeze blows, and the water surface ripples in layers. The distant mountains and forests rustle, as if nature is playing a gentle movement. Looking back at the Shangu Reservoir, it still lies quietly in the mountains, as if telling the story of the years. This early summer trip allowed me to temporarily leave the hustle and bustle of the city, indulge in the embrace of nature, and gain a heart full of tranquility and beauty.
