Yiyun Jilu

Yiyun Jilu Yiyun Jilu is located at No. 2 Gushan Road, Hangzhou, to the north of Pinghu Qiuyue. It covers an area of 1.375 acres, faces south, and is a three-story garden villa with a combination of Chinese and Western styles. In 1927, it was built by comprador Tang Baotai and was also known as Tangzhuang. After the villa was completed, Jiang Menglin, the president of Zhejiang University, lived here. In 1929, during the first West Lake Expo, Yiyun Qilu became one of the important exhibition halls of the Expo - the "Revolution Memorial Hall". In 1941, Shanghai tycoon Dong Yunlong bought the villa. In 1953, the villa was nationalized and used as a cadre dormitory. It was later changed to the Zhejiang University for the Elderly and was also known as "Mingjian Building".
