Japan’s Top 100 Scenic Spots

#thingstodo The Hakone Taikanzan Observatory belongs to the list of Japan’s Top 100 Scenic Spots, which was a list compiled by two major newspapers in 1927. On a clear day, Mt. Fuji can be seen in the distance, towering over Lake Ashinoko below. I came at the time when it’s sunny and I am satisfied with this breathtaking view It is indeed a sight to behold with the whole of Hakone Valley & Mt. Fuji as the backdrop. It was still early Winter, so my friends & I didn’t get to see snowing, but we did saw small patches of what would be considered ‘dirty snow’.
