A beautiful hotel with excellent service

Haikou has many Marriott hotels to choose from, each with its own characteristics. The Sheraton, the oldest of these, has the most resort-like atmosphere. This hotel has been open for almost 20 years, a truly established hotel, and I have stayed here before and had a good impression. This time, in addition to the beachfront location, the affordable price was also a factor in my choice, and my experience was still very good! Although the hardware is a bit dated, the hotel staff's service is still excellent, they treat members well, and the hotel has a beach, swimming pool, tennis court, barbecue area, gym, and spa, making it perfect for a vacation! The breakfast was also surprisingly good! Highly recommended. The ocean view suite is located on the third floor of the west wing, with a large balcony overlooking the sea, coconut groves, and the swimming pool. The suite's balcony is very large, and it's very pleasant to sit on the balcony and enjoy the sea breeze! The room itself is a bit old-fashioned, and some of the decor is showing its age, but overall it is spacious, comfortable, and functionally well-designed. The toilet is not smart, the bathtub has no bath salts, and the toiletries are provided in large bottles. I really like the pattern and color of the hotel's bedding, which has a silky feel, although the surface is starting to show some wear. The bar has a minimalist style. Happy hour offers several hot dishes, snacks, and various alcoholic and soft drinks. The quality of the food is good; that day there was beef brisket and roast chicken. Although the variety is not extensive, it's enough to fill you up. There were surprisingly few guests; there were only three tables occupied during that time, which felt a bit out of place for a Marriott "dining hall." Breakfast is served in the Yefeng All-Day Dining Restaurant on the first floor. There was a moderate number of guests, and the view of the pool just outside the restaurant is beautiful. The breakfast quality is also good, not only with a wide variety but also with several unusual breakfast dishes, such as freshly stewed pig's feet. The hotel has not only a gym and an outdoor swimming pool but also hot spring pools and many facilities for children. In addition, the hotel has a nice beach where you can swim or stroll along the coconut grove. The hotel is also conveniently located about half an hour's drive from the airport and high-speed rail station.
