Chuanshan Scenic Area

Located at No. 55 Chuanshan Street, Qixing District, Guilin, Chuanshan Park is one of the most beautiful parks in Guilin, covering an area of about 2 square kilometers. The park is centered on Chuanshan Mountain, which has five peaks that resemble a rooster, with the west and east peaks forming the head and tail, the south and north peaks forming the wings, the middle peak forming the back, and the moon cave on the west peak forming the eye. The mountain is also known as "Fighting Rooster Mountain" because it looks like two roosters fighting when viewed from across the river. The park is full of green grass, pine trees, bamboo, and wildflowers, creating a beautiful and elegant environment. The main attractions in Chuanshan Park include the Moon Cave and the Chuan Cave. The Moon Cave is located halfway up the west peak of Chuanshan Mountain. It is 9 meters high, 31 meters long, and 13.3 meters wide, with an area of 412 square meters. It is 39 meters above the Xiaodong River and is open to the north and south, resembling a full moon hanging in the sky. The Chuan Cave is located at the foot of Chuanshan Mountain and is 517 meters long. It is the third large karst cave opened in Guilin in recent years, formed 34,000 years ago. The cave is winding and colorful, with 25 attractions such as Swan Bay, Water Curtain Cave, Heart-to-Heart Stone Shield, and Dragon Scale Wall. In addition, Chuanshan Park also has the Hanyuan Stele Forest, which has more than 300 contemporary poems, couplets, and other works, integrating the unique poetry, couplets, and calligraphy art of the Chinese nation. The park also has the Shoufo Pagoda from the Ming Dynasty, located on Tashan Mountain, which is an important part of the famous "Tashan Qingying" in Guilin. The best time to visit Chuanshan Park is from April to October each year. The ticket price is CNY 65, and the opening hours are 08:00–17:30. Visitors can take bus No. 6, 16, 23, or 33 to Chuanshan Bridge Station in the city center, and walk 400 meters south along Chuanshan Street to reach the park.
