Guangzhou!! Totally in Love with This Thai Food Spot

📍Name: Luk Luk Fat Southeast Asian Cuisine (Beijing Road Branch) 🕰️Business Hours: 11:30-14:00, 17:00-22:00 📍Address: No. 447 Huifu East Road (Directly opposite Beijing Road Police Station) I’ve been craving Mama noodles ever since planning this trip to Guangzhou. Originally wanted to visit a more popular spot, but the reviews were super polarizing… So I went with this place instead—it seemed like a safer, more balanced option. 🤣 Overall, the flavors were decent—not mind-blowing, but not bad either. What really stood out were these two dishes: 🥢 Vietnamese-Style Sesame Oil Chicken with Papaya Salad Super generous portion, served cold and tossed with shredded green papaya. It’s refreshing at first, but gets a bit salty after a few bites. Still, it’s unique and memorable. 🍍 Mayo Pineapple Sweet & Spicy Ribs My personal favorite! Crispy fried ribs coated in a sweet, salty, and slightly spicy mayo sauce, then paired with tangy pineapple chunks. Flavor layers were on point—crispy, creamy, zesty, all in one bite! 🍜 Mama Noodles The broth lacked depth for me—it could’ve been richer. Portion-wise, though, it was generous. Didn’t love the roast pork—too thick and fatty for my taste, with a bit of an odd aftertaste. Wish they had used pork jowl instead—it would’ve been much better! 🧋About That “Big Pearl Milk Tea” Everyone Posts Spoiler: the “pearls” are actually grass jelly! Still tastes good though. Now I’m curious about the new salty cheese version—maybe it’s even better?
