#guangzhoutrip Sculpture Park — easily one of the most underrated yet unique parks in the city! As the name suggests, its biggest highlight is… sculptures! This is the only sculpture-themed park in Guangzhou, and the largest of its kind in all of China. It’s got hills, lakes, wide-open lawns — perfect for light camping, sunbathing, or just rolling around on the grass. Seriously, it’s such a free and chill spot — ideal for weekend strolls and taking in some artsy inspiration. 🎨 The sculptures cover a huge range of themes — you could even call it a "3D version of the Guangzhou Museum." They condense over 2,000 years of Guangzhou culture into one walkable park. You’ll see: Grand altars telling the story of the Nanyue Kingdom, Lively scenes from old Canton street life, Modern pieces depicting urban life and relationships, Even statues of celebrities — like Michael Jackson! (People leave flowers under it!) The sculptures are so expressive — like frozen dances. You can almost feel life surging from the stone itself. My personal favorite? ✨ “Glory of the Ancient City” — a monumental sculpture of a soldier holding up a golden seal atop a grand altar, reminiscent of Atlas holding the sky in Greek mythology. Surrounded by large works inspired by relics from the Nanyue Kingdom, it gives off a mysterious, sacred aura.
