|A staycation more suitable for college students' physique. On May 20th, it happened to be the half-year anniversary of our relationship. We booked the InterContinental Guangzhou Poly Hotel and spent an unforgettable night (*--*) At first, I hesitated which hotel to book. I considered Mandarin Oriental, Ritz-Carlton, and Four Seasons, but because InterContinental is closer to University City, I finally booked this one~ I told the hotel in advance that I wanted a birthday decoration (to make up for the not-so-pleasant birthday in March), and they sent a delicious chocolate cake! The outside is covered with dark chocolate, the inside is chocolate mousse, and there is a sweet and sour raspberry filling in the middle. It is a very fragrant dark chocolate mousse cake, suitable for coffee or strong tea. The welcome fruit is okay, it looks good, but the taste is average. The welcome snacks are also good. I quite like the hotel's cups, but I can't find them by image search. Maybe they are custom-made? If possible, I would like to buy a set hehe. The hotel's sound system is B&O, which is very enjoyable to listen to (o^^o) The mini bar doesn't have much, but there is a Nespresso capsule coffee machine and TWG tea bags, which is neither good nor bad. The bed is soft but not sagging, using a King Koil mattress, which is super comfortable. I planted grass on this mattress. The bathtub is very good, with a sense of texture. At first, I saw other people's reviews, some room types have a round large bathtub (similar to the one at Yangshuo Banyan Tree Resort), which is very tempting. Later, I looked at the room type description and found out that it is only available in suites><, but actually the bathtub in the river view room is also very good, bubble bath is very fun. The toiletries are from Calmac, all with centella asiatica fragrance, which is a refreshing floral fragrance, not bad. I heard that some InterContinental hotels use Byredo. The breakfast is very rich, both Chinese and Western breakfast lovers should be satisfied(*^^*) The egg station even has pancakes and Benedict eggs. After eating, I found that the baking counter is at the entrance of the fourth floor, and it looks delicious. There are also various ice creams, I tried the guava and ten berries, the guava is very sweet and restores the taste of the fruit, the berries are slightly sweet. Overall, it was a very happy experience. It's a pity that it rained, I originally planned to walk around, there is a greenway along the river, and there are many parks of different sizes nearby. But it's okay~ Leave some regrets and come back next time
