"Royal Palace and Royal Tomb" Hand in Hand Across Two Thousand Years - Nanyue Palace Museum

The Museum of the Nanyue King is a large-scale site museum based on the important archaeological remains of the Nanyue Kingdom. It is divided into two exhibition areas: the king's tomb and the royal palace. The Royal Palace Exhibition Area is centered on the ruins of the Nanyue Palace, which overlaps cultural layers from 13 historical periods from the Qin and Han Dynasties to the Republic of China. Among them, the ruins of the Nanyue Imperial Garden, consisting of the "stone-structured water pool" discovered in 1995 and the "winding stone channel" discovered in 1997, are the earliest and best-preserved examples of Qin and Han palaces discovered so far, and are known as "the essence of Guangzhou, a famous historical and cultural city." Opening hours: Tuesday to Sunday 9:00-17:30 (ticket collection and admission stop at 17:00). The museum is closed on Mondays and open on national holidays.
