The symbol of Jotenji Street: "Hakata Sennenmon"

#DomesticTravelRecord During my trip to Fukuoka, I saw the Hakata Sennenmon Gate, a symbol of tourism in the old Hakata area. The Hakata Sennenmon Gate is located on Jotenji Street, which leads from Hakata Station to Jotenji Temple. It was built in 2014 and was modeled after the Tsujidoguchi Gate, which is said to have existed in the past, as a gateway to Hakata. If you look closely, you can see the intricate carvings, and it has the presence of a gateway to Hakata. The gate's boards are made from 1,000-year-old camphor trees. This beautiful gate, built in the style of a medieval Hakata temple or shrine, is a large gate measuring 8.32m wide, 8.40m deep, and 8.17m high, with an opening width of 3.7m. It's definitely worth a visit when you're sightseeing in Fukuoka!
