[Fukuoka Prefecture] Japan's oldest shrine dedicated to the Sumiyoshi Three Gods

Sumiyoshi Shrine ⛩️ 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍 𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃◌𓈒𓐍𓂃 Sumiyoshi Shrine is the Ichinomiya of Chikuzen Province. It is said to be the oldest shrine in Japan that enshrines the Sumiyoshi Sanjin. The enshrined deities are Sokotsutsuno-o-kami, Nakatsutsuno-o-kami, and Uwatsutsuno-o-kami commonly known as the Sumiyoshi Sanjin. The shrine was rebuilt by Kuroda Nagamasa in 1623, and the main hall is in the Sumiyoshi-zukuri style, the oldest style of temple and shrine architecture, with a straight gabled roof.
