Through the forest on the outskirts of Edinburgh...

During my stay in the suburban town of Penicuik, about an hour by bus from central Edinburgh 🚍, the owner of the homestay told me, "There's a walking trail in the nearby forest." So, on New Year's Eve morning, I set out for a stroll ☀️. Luckily, it wasn't as cold as I had expected ☺️. As I walked past a stream flowing through the woods and a horse-filled pasture, I suddenly came upon a vast meadow 🌱. Sheep were grazing leisurely all around, creating a scene straight out of a storybook 🐏. Continuing further, I was greeted by a breathtaking view of a solitary hill amidst the expansive landscape. It turned out to be a nature park, and you could even walk up to the hill ⛰️. Staying in the suburbs was definitely the right choice‼️ It was a refreshing morning, surrounded by the natural beauty of Scotland ✨.
