There are many hotels in town, and you can book rooms with oxygen concentrators. There are also plenty of dining options in town, including Chabaidao and many others. 🚘Transportation Guide ✈: For those coming from afar, flying is the most convenient option. For surrounding areas, you can choose to take the high-speed rail. If you can land at Shuangliu Airport, that's great👋. Avoid landing at Tianfu Airport, as it's 100 km from the city center. 🚇: From Tianfu Airport, walk 5 minutes to Terminals 1-2, take Subway Line 18, get off at South Railway Station↪, transfer to Line 1 to Chunxi Road. 🚙: Depart directly from Chengdu the next day, pass Xinjin Service Area, check in at Tianquan, and by ⌚12:00, arrive at Kangding to start your Western Sichuan journey. ⚠️: Daocheng Yading is not suitable for a one-day trip. The 15-18 hour drive is unbearable. Join a guided tour instead of driving yourself for a relaxed and hassle-free experience. 🎒Travel Preparations 🆔Documents: If you are a student or senior, bring your ID card, student ID, or senior citizen certificate for half-price tickets. 👗Clothing: If you're joining a small group tour, one suitcase is recommended. Pack 1 light cotton-padded jacket, 2-3 coats, 2 sets of skirts/pants, and 2-3 pairs of shoes. 📸Photography: The scenery in Western Sichuan mostly consists of snowy mountains🏔 and grasslands. If you have a camera, bring a 70-200mm or longer lens. 🧩Travel Comfort: You'll spend a lot of time in the car, so bring a neck pillow for added comfort. Travel Tips 1️⃣It is recommended to enter the park between 7:00-8:00 for more time to explore. 2️⃣The scenic bus🛺️ ride takes 50 minutes. Take motion sickness medicine beforehand, as the winding mountain roads can easily cause nausea. Eat a light breakfast. 3️⃣If you choose the longer route at Chonggu Temple, buy a round-trip electric shuttle bus ticket🛵. Hiking round trip takes 3-4 hours, which is unnecessary, and the mountain is cold!! You can rent a jacket here if needed. 4️⃣Get off the shuttle bus at the Shengshui Gate and walk to Luorong Cattle Farm. You'll see the most beautiful mountain road🛤 and the Luorong Cattle Farm viewing platform. Then, take a leisurely walk along the boardwalk, which is mostly flat. Have lunch at Luorong Cattle Farm. 5️⃣In the afternoon, explore the shorter route. If you're still in the scenic area at 17:00, you might see the sunset illuminating the golden mountain⛰️. 6️⃣With Milk Lake and Five-Color Lake closed, one day is enough for sightseeing.
