Lushun Railway Station

Lushun Station is a unique Russian-style wooden building, which was constructed by Russian engineer Kirshman. The main building of the railway station is a brick and wood structure. It is small and unique, simple and bright. The plan is in the shape of a straight line. The facade has a vestibule at the entrance and a green dome tower at the top, which enhances the upward dynamic of the central volume. The tower is covered with fish-scale iron tiles, which shows a bit of Russian folk charm. Lushun Station is also the southernmost station in Manchuria and was listed as one of the first batch of key protected buildings in Dalian. It was closed in 2014.
