Dali Longkan Pier

Dali Longkan Pier🌿 Arrived here last night and stayed at the Yunding Bieyuan Seaview Homestay🏠. The hotel is small but clean, with a great location and good value for money. I noticed the staff here are all strong—they effortlessly carried heavy suitcases upstairs in no time, which deserves a thumbs-up. In the evening, I had a simple meal and rose tea at a homestay café called Shangyunli, where I happened to meet the owner and a talented young man from Xi'an who was traveling solo in Yunnan. The owner was witty and definitely a master at lifting the mood, while the young man was a photography enthusiast who stood alone in the night wind for nine hours just to capture the starry sky—it was breathtaking. Sipping drinks and chatting by the sea breeze was incredibly relaxing. In the morning, I was awakened by the sunrise glow outside. When I looked out the window, many young men and women were already waiting in the chilly wind for the sunrise. I quickly got ready and joined the crowd to capture the stunning view. It’s absolutely true that Longkan Pier is one of the best spots for sunrise watching. Many soon-to-be-wed couples were taking pre-wedding photos here, and I couldn’t resist joining in for a few beautiful shots. As the sun slowly rose, it became less cold, and people started cycling or riding electric scooters in small groups for a seaside tour. About renting vehicles: Renting a car or bike for a coastal ride along the East Sea route is delightful because the road runs right by the sea, offering breathtaking views. You can stop anytime to take photos or check in at scenic spots. However, part of the West Sea route is a pedestrian street where motor vehicles aren’t allowed. During peak season, renting a car isn’t recommended due to parking difficulties, but in the off-season, it’s quite convenient. You can park outside if you want to cycle along the coast or drive directly to attractions and explore on foot. About accommodation: Longkan Pier is a vibrant area filled with charming cafés and bars, all with an elegant and cozy atmosphere. You can easily spend an afternoon staring at the sea from any seaside shop. For a luxurious stay, choose a first-line seaview hotel; for better value, opt for second- or third-line homestays—they’re just as comfortable, and the beach is only a short walk away. About food: I don’t have much to say yet, as I just randomly picked a spot for a quick bite before enjoying tea and conversation.
