Wat Traphang Ngern Historical Park

Wat Traphang Ngern Located west of Wat Mahathat, this ancient site is not surrounded by walls, but relies on water as the temple boundary. The word "Traphang" in Khmer means pond. This ancient site of the temple has a main pagoda in the shape of a rice bundle or a lotus bud. There is a chapel in front. The distinctive feature of this lotus bud pagoda is that there are pavilions on all four sides for enshrining standing and walking Buddha images (Sila), which is different from other lotus bud pagodas.
