The books were always there, but on previous visits, I never had the time to browse, and sometimes even skipped breakfast. Fortunately, with urgent tasks now completed, I can slow down and savor life. ▫️Last weekend, I stayed at a newly opened Atour near Liberation Monument. What impressed me most was that this location doesn’t segregate "deep sleep floors"—instead, all rooms come standard with deep-sleep mattresses and Atour Planet pillows, ensuring every guest enjoys a high-quality sleep environment. ▫️This time, I booked the 'Premium Suite,' my first experience with an Atour suite. Located at the end of the hallway, the room was distanced from others, guaranteeing absolute quiet. The basic amenities were similar to other room types: smart room controls, ergonomic chairs, gentle and varied lighting modes, tea sets, and to-go coffee cups. The only extra was the snacks and Atour Village tea in the fridge. Speaking of which, their bottled tea is a favorite among guests—many even pack several bottles in their "checkout diaries." With its subtle, elegant flavor, it’s a godsend for unsweetened tea lovers like me. ▫️Beyond the rooms, the hotel’s public areas also embody understated beauty, especially the 'Bamboo Library' in the lobby and the artwork at the entrance. For those unfamiliar with Atour: the Bamboo Library is a 24/7 free reading space open not just to guests but also to local residents. "Connecting with the community through books, creating a neighborhood library—like a '15-minute living circle'—to offer accessible reading experiences" is truly a brilliant concept. ▫️For breakfast, my personal preference is a 40-60 split between Chinese and Western options. A bowl of warm, clear-broth wontons is a must, alongside a healthy, low-oil omelet. But this Atour goes beyond excellent salads and baked goods—its Chinese hot dishes are standout: celery with shrimp, beef stew with potatoes, and Chongqing-style spicy diced chicken. On weekends, breakfast extends until 11 AM, making it a full-fledged, nutritious brunch. ▫️To sum up this weekend’s Atour experience in one sentence, I’d choose the brand’s classic tagline: "Unexpected Warmth." It’s Atour’s warmth and human touch that make it my steadfast choice for a home away from home.
