Ciqikou Ancient Town

Located in Shapingba District, Chongqing, this tourist area preserves old streets (referred to as 'ancient towns' in China). It is about a 5-minute walk from Ciqikou Station on Metro Line 1. The vast area is lined with souvenir shops and restaurants. There are also several hotels, and the night view is likely to be enchanting. There are many hot pot restaurants, a specialty of Chongqing, where they heat chili peppers and other ingredients in oil and sell them in front of the store, filling the area with the aroma of hot pot. The pathways have many stairs and slopes, so comfortable walking shoes are recommended.
