A short walk in Zhaomushan

Zhaomushan Forrest Park (照母山森林公园）is located in Yubei District (渝北区, north from the city center. You can take either taxi/didi or public transport to get there. Metro Line 5 has the closest station called Happiness Square (幸福广场). And from there there is a nice 2 km walk (but not really pedestrian friendly and you will have to climb up the mountain - which is an amazing row of steps). Also, you can visit the park next to Happiness Square, which is so colorful. Usually on summer weekends the Zhaomushan Forrest Park is visited, since it is an oxygen bar in the heart of the city. You should bring some snacks and water with you and be prepared to walk a lot, in the famous Chongqing style, which is: up the hill and down the hill. You can also find small restaurants in the forest park, small stalls, where you can buy some food/snacks and water.
