The 1-kilometer trek to the summit of Phu Chi Fa is best done early in the morning (about 5 a.m.) to catch a glimpse of the sunrise. After that, you can explore the mountain ridge's minor hiking routes, which take you a bit further along the Thai-Laos border. All the way along, you'll have a fantastic view of the valley. Simply follow the dirt trails. Winding mountain routes, hill tribes, and waterfalls characterize the area surrounding Phu Chi Fa. From Chiang Rai, Phu Chi Fa is a 2-2.5-hour drive.
