Wat Saen Fang

Wat Saen Fang, Chiang Mai Province Known as the Shwedagon of Chiang Mai, it was built during the reign of King Saen Phu of the Mangrai Palace. The exquisite Mongkol Saen Mahachai Pagoda is similar to the Burmese Shwedagon Pagoda and the Lai Kham Wihan, which was the former residence of King Kawilorot Suriyawong. It is a gold-covered and lacquered temple built in the Lanna architectural style with a low, sloping roof decorated with carved wood patterns and gold-covered stucco.
