Cheongju Zoo

#koreatrip We visited on a weekend and entry costs were very minimal (1,000 won adults) which means it’s probably state subsidised which is a good thing. Large cats enclosures were a bit small, in my opinion, and could have had a more natural touch n increased size. There is a small refreshments area for drinks n snacks n the ever present n necessary souvenir shops. Do check the weather prior to visitation as one would need to walk the zoo as there are no trams or other transportation within its premises. With good weather it’ll be a nice quiet visit to stay in touch with nature and all its creatures as the landscaping is very nice, green n peaceful. Recommended to prep at least 2-3 hours to leisurely tour this little zoo.
