Located in Xinjin District, Pure Yang Guan is known as "the first loyal and filial Confucian temple in both ancient and modern times." This historically rich site was originally built during the Qing Dynasty (under the Xianfeng era), expanded during the Guangxu period, and further extended during the Republican era. It is now listed as a Sichuan Provincial Cultural Heritage Site (and rumored to be preparing for inclusion in the National Heritage list). What Makes Pure Yang Guan Special? First in Four Ways: Longest Loyalty and Filial Piety Story Mural: The Loyalty and Filial Piety Pavilion features a mural detailing the longest narrative of loyalty and filial piety in the world, with sculptures depicting characters and their stories. "The First Confucian Temple": It is recognized as the largest Confucian temple in Western Sichuan during the Republic of China era, and it now serves as a Cultural Park dedicated to Loyalty and Filial Piety, featuring an exhibition hall. Largest Brick-Wood Structure Pavilion: The most striking feature is its two symmetrical, large brick-wood pavilions, each 33.8 meters high with three-tiered eaves and octagonal, sharp-tipped roofs. Chengdu's First Bell: The "Yuqing Daoist Temple" houses a 7,000-jin bell made from gold, silver, copper, iron, and tin. This massive bell is located in front of the Lüzu Hall. #travel
